Pine Scent

rejectomorphIt's amazing how piney this place smells when it has been wet for a few days. It smells of pine all year, of course, though I have grown accustomed to it and seldom notice. In the warm, dry weather it smells more of the needles, and resin. When damp, it smells of wood. It is like being inside a barrel.
I'm also amazed by how little I've gotten done lately. I mean to get busy on various projects, and something comes up to interrupt me. So, I end up watching television, because it doesn't matter if that gets interrupted. Somehow, I need to get my schedule re-arranged, before I get into the habit of getting nothing done. Bleh. Time to sleep, already. But first, one more sniff of cold, woody air.
