Another Snowfall
Dec. 28th, 2002 08:18 pmPower outage. My power got outed, but only for about 90 minutes. I hope I don't lose my Internet connection tonight, because my cable is out, too, and none of my television sets can pick up anything over the airwaves. I'll be reduced to re-watching videotapes!
Now the rain has turned into snow again. That rain-to-snow hush has fallen over the forest, and is quite a relief after all the hours of pounding rain. The wind has subsided as well, and the soft white flakes are drifting slowly down, and all the bushes and trees and rooftops are gradually emerging from darkness, as though they were being drawn with white ink on black paper. Snow is always at its best when newly fallen.
