Reading, in Lieu of Writing, Again
Feb. 6th, 2003 08:04 pmFrom The New Republic, commentary on our moribund space program. It brings up a lot of points I've been wondering about.
Bright sun and cold air today, and wind booming in the chimney. Over the mountains, just the tiniest bit of cloud, suggesting that it might rain again, someday.
Maybe somebody should send Brad some ointment for his burns, or wherever. Well, he brought it on himself, this time. While many paid users are not particularly upset by this, and some are short-sighted enough to be celebrating, I see it as an indication that LJ is becoming ever more likely to slip into parochial irrelevance. An era of limits. Shades of Jerry Brown!
