Down at the house on the corner I hear kids playing. Reminded me of this verse:

Date: 2001-09-08 04:00 pm (UTC)Petersen is one of my favorite modern American poets. He deserves to be more widely known. (I guess a lot of poets do.) I don't know where he is today, but for many years he was a professor at Oneonta. Lucky students.
