Brightening

The birds are twittering more vigorously this morning than they have for several days. Although the sky is mostly overcast, I suspect that it will clear today. There is a pale line along the eastern horizon. Once the sun rises, I hope it will burn off more of that dark and heavy cap. There has been no rain for several hours. It looks promising, at the moment. Monotony being the bane of my existence, I could use a change. May those cheerful birds be the harbingers of a brighter day.
