A crane fly thinks my monitor is a window. His fruitless fluttering is distracting. If he goes near the real window, I can open the screen and let him out. But he won't do that as long as the alluring light of the screen remains. Go away, fly! Sluggo already has bugs of his own!

All day, warm moisture gathered into largely formless clouds. Only after sunset did they begin to differentiate from one another, Now, the twilight sky is full of ponderous gray shapes, drifting slowly eastward. The air is still, and heavy. There might be a thunderstorm later. That would be nice. Anything to cool it down a bit more. Must post before Sluggo freaks, then free the crane fly from the monitor's false promise of escape.

I love your beautiful descriptions of the world--they always make me stop for a minute to look outside and see what's going on. Thank you !

Perhaps the crane fly is there to do some heavy lifting!
