Hey! What Happened?

XColibur, huh? I miss Dystopia. I liked the ugly sidebar! That little script thing up at the top of the page that replaces the sidebar is awfully touchy, especially when you have a crappy mouse, as I do. OK, it does look a lot cleaner this way, but it's going to take a lot of getting used to.

My user icon says "ouch!" It's awfully cramped up there in that corner. I guess I'll look at those options they mentioned on the log-in page. See if they've got something better.

Don't you wish that some of the effort taken to create this style had been spent making the site more reliable? I do.

Absolutely I wish the effort had gone into improving the site instead of cosmetics.
I'm not crazy about it. It is cleaner, though, and I'll give it a shot. Glad I have the option to switch back, though.

I really dislike the fact that the links for interests, friends, etc. on my user info page are all in blue. Because the links I've clicked on recently are shown in black, it looks as though they got it backward. So far, that's the thing that bothers me most.

hmmm I dunno, I've been using XColibur for a long time and really like it... it's a LOT cleaner. the nice creative people that have been working on the style probably aren't the same people working on reliability, so I don't think we've really lost anything as long as you can switch back.

of course, my opinion is tainted because I like it. =)

Well, exactly. This skin wasan't a long time-consuming process, they had it up for a long time on the test page, they just decided to slap it on the main page. Couldn't have taken more than a few hours of work.

I like the clean style, but those blue links on the user info page make my eyes go out of focus. I'm sure I can get used to the script that replaced all the side bar links, but I'll need a new mouse before it will be as easy to use as the old style.

What use is all that white space when you have all this tiny print you can't see squashed up at the top?
I can only assume they're designing for all the high school students with good eyesight and no vocabulary.
It wouldn't hurt if the comments opened reliably when you clicked them, instead of just saying "done" and having nothing appear.
Kind of drab, too. I liked the old stripe.
