I'm Going for a No Bell Prize

Is everybody drunk yet? I'm not. In fact, I have the beginnings of a headache. Alcohol would aggravate it. It might be sinus related, or something out of place in my neck, which I haven't had adjusted in ages. Maybe I'll just not drink anything tonight.

I'd like to do some sort of long post (while nobody's looking), but I am devoid of ideas. The night is quiet. There will be aural evidence of drunken revelry from 'round about at midnight, I'm sure, but for now the atmosphere is subdued. The storm that is due has yet to bring any precipitation, though the clouds have lingered all day and now conceal the moon and stars. The year whimpers toward its end. Cheers!

the boy and I'll have some sparkling cider in wine glasses at midnight just like we were real grownups, and watch the fireworks going off.

Oooh, sparkling cider sounds good. I'm glad you reminded me. I have a bottle I can stick in the fridge to chill.

No fireworks here, though. (Unless this storm turns thundery, which isn't likely this time of year.)
