The Passion of the Attorney General.

It might have been better written had it been done for a magazine more demanding than Vanity Fair, but it's still entertaining and moderately enlightening. And, yes, the man is a certifiable loony.

Very scary man. And yes, absolutely certifiable. Why is he walking around loose, much less holding public office?!

it is true that the masses are stupid
and you people are evidence

I don't think Kurt Cobain would have defended this awful man. Courtney would, and might, spit in his face, given the chance, though probably no one would care what she does by now.
It's true that Vanity Fair isn't the greatest source, but there is plenty of evidence that this guy is dangerous, all you have to do is watch and listen to him.
Sadly, the masses ARE stupid, all you have to do is scare them a little and say "taxes!" and they fall right into line.

It is fascinating, because he's so good at it, but he does worry me. Between Ashcroft and Rumsfeld, there's plenty to be concerned about.

Absolutely certifiable~ I mean, the article was admittedly one-sided, but hearing about Ashcroft's hijinks is always welcome!
