Deer came to graze in the front yards along my street tonight. Because the moon is still close to full, I could see them fairly well in spite of their pale brown color. (Deer come very close to being invisible at night.) I heard them, first. One was walking on my driveway, browsing on the flowers along it, and snorting. Apparently, he was not pleased with my selection of plants for his dining pleasure. Deer prefer rose bushes to the ground covering plants which I have. I don't like to disappoint them, but, on the other hand, what have the deer done for me? They have never given me advice about my hardware configuration. They are no help at all when it comes to reinstalling Windows. They have never suggested a CD writer program that wouldn't make the computer crankier than it already is. What use are these beasts? They might as well be Microsoft employees!

i actually saw two different sets (at two different places along side of the road) of deer family. One family was just watching the cars go by. (i hope they didnt try crossing the road!) and the other was running into the small bush of forrest. i think deer are one of the most beautiful and peace creatures. sometimes i wish i was a deer-but then i would have to worry about being gatted by ted nugent.

Hearing you speak of deer brought back a flood of memories.
It made me think of Japanese Deer park which was somewhere in Anaheim in the late 60's (?) Time escapes me. We later called it dead deer park.
Because they had to close the park and insted of moving the deer they shot them. They needed the land for some other "highest and best use" activity. Like additional parking for Disneyland.

Try sending your neighborhood deer a dozen red roses. They will eat them happily. Then they will tell you what to do with your computer.
They are very wise.
