Distracted

My cats are upset because everything is happening at the wrong time. I'm still a bit disorganized, too, and didn't start dinner on time, so there will certainly be pizza tonight. The particular shade of green the new grass wears is such a distraction! Every few minutes, I feel compelled to go out and look at it. The spaciousness of the day draws me. Every window is an invitation, and my gaze will inevitably fly out on every shaft of sunlight. The light is warm, and the breezy shade deliciously cool, the pale young leaves flutter and the birds sing amid bright flowers. How can I possibly concentrate?

Spring is the best time of year here, except for the pollen and the extravagant diurnal temperature range, which wakes me to shed blankets two or three times a day.

The pollen is driving me nuts this year and I know about the blankets -- hard to gauge the changing temperature when sleeping during the day.
