rejectomorphIn a short while, the full moon will rise. This is my favorite full moon of the year. It is low in the southern sky, casting long shadows and, here where the pines are tall, veiled for much of the night by their intricate silhouettes. Its light is soft and often honey-colored, lending the night a gentleness that induces relaxation and those more delightful flights of imagination. Further, the balmy airs of summer provide a pleasant atmosphere in which to watch the moon's stately progression. The only thing lacking this year will be the lingering fragrance of jasmine, which has already vanished due to the plant's early blooming.
I have only just realized that the third anniversary of this journal slipped by without my notice, on June 28th. I think that was one of the nights on which the site was barely working. Brad must have been too busy to send me a card. Well, I'll try to remember the date next year.
