Day Used Up

There were visitors this afternoon, and an unexpected trip to the store, and the sweltering day passed quickly. Now I have time to join the cat in the front yard and enjoy the cooling mist cast by the lawn sprinkler next door, and watch the bright colors of the roses fade with dusk. I bought my first watermelon of the year, and it is now chilling. I also picked up a half gallon of ice cream with no sugar but all of the fat. Mmm, fatty ice cream. My life is about to become so Sybaritic! Good thing, too, because my mind has gone blank. In that state, the best thing to do is just vegetate. I'm good at that.
