Since you have a paid LJ account, your photo hosting account should be ready to use now right here. Just follow the (fairly) easy instructions (create an album first, since unsorted pics you upload are made private by default) and, once the picture is uploaded and put into the album, go to the link that takes you to a web update page where you can write an entry, with the HTML for the picture already in it. I haven't installed the client yet, since they are still working on it and it will probably change a lot over the next few days. Sluggo doesn't like me to do too much re-installing of programs.
Thanks. I think I posted it once before, but I thought it would make a good test picture to upload.
I'm so happy that we finally have a photo hosting service integrated with LJ! And we're going to get the same amount of storage space (50Mb) that I've been paying twenty bucks a year for at PictureTrail!
I don't remember seeing it, but if it hasn't been apparent, sky pictures are probably No. 1 in my estimation. I'm a bit sky/cloud/sun/moon/weather obsessed.
don't forget the photobucket, too. it offers more storage than LJ and also generates the html.
I've only ever filled about 10% of my space at PictureTrail, after almost two years, so storage has never been a concern for me. That's mainly because I'm on dialup, so it takes forever to upload stuff- and because Sluggo is cranky, of course.
