April Fool's Eve
Mar. 31st, 2005 07:51 pmDays are growing balmy once more: the sky draped with wispy clouds, the flowers re-energized and blooming, hummingbirds darting about. This evening, frogs are croaking for the first time in more than week. Enough chill lingers that going out into the night air is uncomfortable unless I wear a jacket, but it will probably be warmer tomorrow. I have mixed feelings. I'm pleased to feel spring arriving, but not pleased that Sluggo has not yet been replaced after all. Warmer weather is bound to bring trouble. I have also seen mole trails in one of the flower beds. The last cat is not good at depleting the rodent population. Maybe a stray will come hunting.
Say goodnight, Sluggo. Say goodnight, March.
