Dullness

It's been one of those days when everything I feel like doing is something that can't be done here, and I wouldn't have time to do it anyway. Later, a bottle of lager will be consumed and Ella Fitzgerald will be listened to, I think. Right now, soiled fabrics are threatening to get out of hand unless they are made to behave by being thrashed inside the washing machine. Once they have been dried, I shall fold them to within an inch of what would be their lives, were they living. I will not be dissuaded from this!

I don't like Sunday.

Sunday can suck, but lager and Ella? That's sweet! Erik, who at 21.5 years, is trying different brews, brought home a Dutch brew the other night that was really excitingly wonderful. I'll ask him the name of it later, as he's asleep. He also brought home Paulii Girl Dark. Yum! He's like his mom. We have the occasional beer with a meal once or twice a week, but he doesn't go out with buddies with the intention of abusing his body and brain. Thank you, God! ;-)

I have a six pack of Sierra Nevada Summerfest. They only make it for about four months. The rest of the year I just drink their Porter. I don't much like their winter beer, which is too sweet and spicy, but the Summerfest is one of the best lagers around- and, because the brewery is right down the hill in Chico, it doesn't cost much more than ordinary Bud or overrated Coors.
