My idea is that we arrange for this pair of bloated, self-important, meddlesome, overbearing, egomaniacal dickwads to fight it out in a cage match, the winner to get both Venezuela and the 700 Club, provided they agree that the winner will have to defend the title against all comers and relinquish both prizes when (inevitably) they are defeated.

Either that, or we make them play star-crossed lovers in the next John Waters movie.

Aug. 24 (Bloomberg) U.S. television evangelist Pat Robertson said his recommendation that the Bush administration "take out" Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez was misinterpreted.

"I didn't say, 'assassination'," Robertson, 75, said today on his "700 Club" program. "I said our special forces should 'take him out'. Take him out could mean a number of things."

Robertson continued: "It could mean killing him, I guess, if you're going to be anal about it. But it could also mean, I don't know, maybe a date. Maybe going to the movies or something. Having a few beers. Maybe trying to feel him up. Over the shirt, of course."

Venezuelan Vice President Jose Vicente Rangel responded to Robertson's comments yesterday, saying, "Hes a total fucking lunatic. Hugo would never go out with him. He doesn't like uncut guys."

Heh. It's about time Bloomberg hired some reporters away from The Onion. It's a great improvement.
