My idea is that we arrange for this pair of bloated, self-important, meddlesome, overbearing, egomaniacal dickwads to fight it out in a cage match, the winner to get both Venezuela and the 700 Club, provided they agree that the winner will have to defend the title against all comers and relinquish both prizes when (inevitably) they are defeated.

Either that, or we make them play star-crossed lovers in the next John Waters movie.

Star crossed lovers, definitely. Ropertson is O-L-D old. It wouldn't be much of a show to watch him and Chavez throw down, whereas if they were star-crossed lovers at least it would be entertaining.

I can totally see Pat as the Southern Belle who falls for the dashing Latin pirate, but whose daddy (we'll dig up Strom Thurmond to play him) doesn't approve.
