Vanishing Act

I've never seen so much snow disappear so quickly. Faster than a San Francisco dotcom. A swath lies across my lawn, and a few clumps line the street. There are a few patches on rooftops. But the rain has washed away most of it. Hooray! No Shoveling! (The snow shovel is an evil device designed by the makers of pain medications.) And, we got through the storm with no more than a few brownouts from the power company. Altogether, I'd say this has been a good day. Even the birds are back, flying through the light drizzle and pecking in the exposed parts of the lawn. I think I'll wash my window, for a better view of this pearly evening light.
