Birds

What I'm wondering now is whether all the flocks of birds I heard flying over the neighborhood last night might have been cranes? They were loud. They sounded a bit like the dancers doing the can-can in that 1950's version of Moulin Rouge, who whoop and scream and shout. I wish I could get a good look at these birds, but they always come at night.
