Indulgence

Nothing happened yesterday, except that I got an e-mail containing pictures of a place I once knew well, and they induced in me one of those temporarily pleasant fits of melancholy in which I am prone to indulge, particularly when I contemplate that locale in which I experienced the onset of teen angst. Ah, teen angst! I've never since been able to derive quite so much delight from melodramatic misery as I did then. I suppose that's normal. Judging from LiveJournal, in fact, I'd say it's way normal. Speaking of which:

Of course, that finished me off for the night. Nothing much happened then, either, until I stepped out the front door into gray light filtered through layers of cloud and saw a small hawk flying over my yard at half the height of the pines. He was probably full of nocturnal rodent and on his way home to roost. I'm not full of rodent, and I'm already home, but I'm ready to roost too. Maybe this afternoon will be more interesting.
