Even More Trivial Than Usual

rejectomorphMost of the day was gone before the gray overcast began to arrange itself into an assortment of cirrus clouds, and the sun came out to brighten the green world. Still lush from the recent rain, the grasses look even nicer washed by afternoon light than they did when the sun was concealed. Most of the year, I enjoy the gray days, but today was sultry and muggy, so the sunshine was more appropriate to the air. I hope the clouds remain broken. If the overcast returns, it will hold in this heat all night. Hot days I can endure, however much I complain about them, but hot nights are an abomination, redeemable only if they produce a nice thunderstorm.
Tonight will probably be disorganized. Mom wanted her evening bowl of soup an hour and a half early, so her schedule is probably going to be odd all night. That means mine will be, too. I'll probably get nothing done, beyond the routine tasks. Feh.
