Even though going to get my head yanked doesn't take very long it still seems to gut the day. Returning, I saw the clump of cumulus clouds which often hangs in the northeast this time of year, tantalizing me as I endure the heated afternoons. The local shade of trees and buildings leaves me unsatisfied as I contemplate the vast shade of the distant clouds. I want to be under that gray. There's been enough brightness and I'm in no need of tanning. Nothing will bring those clouds here before their time, though. And their time may not even be what I really want. Maybe I'm just terribly dissatisfied and will remain that way even when the clouds do at last arrive. I don't know anymore. More than my neck feels out of joint.
