I'm looking at a dialog box with the heading "Juno Error Detected." It tells me that Juno has detected a technical error which requires that the program be shut down. It invites me to post an explanation of what I was doing when the box popped up, and tells me that this information will be used to improve future versions of their program. HAH!

When I click on the "close" button at the bottom of that box, a Windows dialog box will pop up telling me that Juno has created an invalid page fault or some such thing and will be shut down. The program will in fact shut down at that time.

The interesting thing is that, most of the time, I can continue to use Juno as long as I don't close that original dialog box. I'm doing it now. I can probably go for several more pages, before the whole thing crashes. I sometimes think that this dialog box IS the error. Man, computers are so freking weird!

A marbled grey sky, like something painted by Pissarro, squawking birds, splashes of fall color, and everything wet; a typical November day in the northern Sierra. It has about 40 hours to clear up into an un-typical November night if I'm going to see the Leonid meteor shower. This is expected to be a spectacular year for the Leonids. Since I have lived here, the normal weather has prevented me from seeing them almost every year. I hope this year will be one of those rare exceptions, but the weather does not look promising. Humph. I should have moved to the desert instead of the mountains.
