Mild Saturday afternoon and evening went by so mildly that they left no impression. Of course I slept through the morning. But Saturday night I still went to bed before midnight, and then slept a surprisingly long time, and only woke up when a very gray dawn was leaking around the edges of the blinds. It's still overcast now, and set to remain so all day today and probably Monday as well. In fact rain is supposed to arrive this morning, and get heavier overnight. I want to get groceries Monday, and hope the rain doesn't interfere with my plans. As I'll be ordering online early Monday morning, a power outage could screw things up badly, and an afternoon downpour could interfere with the pickup. But with luck, I could be restocked with foods by Monday evening and ready to ignore reality for a couple more weeks.

One thing I do remember from Saturday is that I woke up sneezing, and sneezed again and again for the first couple of hours, and developed quite a runny nose. I started taking some tablets my sister once recommended and which I keep on hand, and to my surprise the sneezes ended after just a few hours. I was expecting to have a full blown cold by now, but I don't. In the past, the tablets have worked sometimes but not others. If they are what ended this bout of rhino-misery I'm very glad to have them.
