Reset Forty-Nine, Day Two Hundred Sixty-Nine

A strange tinnitus developed today, sounding like someone washing pavement with a hose. There was rain most of Sunday, and lots of sleep, and dinner waited until three o'clock in the morning. more recently I decided to lie on the bed and then gel asleep with my right knee hanging off the bed, and uncovered, and when I woke up it ached terribly. I want to get back into bed properly and cover it up and see if it recovers, if it doesn't just keep me awake. But I'm feeling about as tired as I ever have, so maybe it won't.

Oh, and the light bulb over my stove burned out, and I have no idea where to get a new one or how to change it. I suppose my nephew will have to be pestered again. I don't like being the incompetent old guy, but I guess it's probably better than having to be the incompetent old guy's nephew. I'll never know for sure, as all my uncles are dead, and when they weren't they lived a long way away. That was probably best for all of us, as I'm sure I was the incompetent young guy too. If they'd lived any closer, they'd have had to change my light bulbs.

More rain today, plus strong wind, plus a local flooding risk advisory, plus part of the Sacramento river farther down could get within a foot of the top of its banks. An exciting February. I'll be glad when its over. If I survive.
