I didn't get any email today. Not even spam. I had to send myself something from the New York Times, just to see the little yellow flag pop up. Pathetic.

I was right about the haze. The day is overcast, and the splendid cobalt blue of morning twilight was quickly replaced by gray. The air is cool, but heavy with damp. Add another ten degrees to the temperature, and a bit of diesel exhaust, and it would be a typical May day in Los Angeles. Oh, now I'm all nostalgic.

Just time for a walk before dinner.

I have to do that sometimes, too. And somehow, it works, it's like mail getting stuck in one of those maildrops in buildings, where you can see letters stuck between floors. I have a couple of email subscriptions, so I know I should always have mail in the mornings. If it doesn't show, I'll send myself a blank email, and sure enough, there will magically be 3 or 4 emails when I go to retrieve that one.

My Times article didn't dislodge anything this time. In fact, I still haven't gotten the emails of the replies to this post. LJ is hoarding my email! That happened a couple of days ago, too. I got six LJ replies all at once, some of which had been posted hours earlier. I'll bet Brad is reading it all, looking for things with which to blackmail us.
