52/464: Doubt
Jun. 13th, 2026 01:00 amFriday brought shopping exhaustion, and Safeway ran out of the one thing on sale that I'd rearranged my schedule for. It was big, two-pound blocks of my favorite cheese, and I had sort of planned (insofar as I plan at all anymore) my meals for the next couple of weeks around that cheese, and they didn't have either my first choice or my acceptable substitute, and now I have to fill gaps in my menu with gawd knows what.
Some of the other items were also unavailable, and I also forgot a couple of things, so the next couple of weeks will be a gustatory pig's breakfast, and the pig is eating better than I am. The air conditioner has been running a lot, and it's still too warm out to have the windows open, and that condition is apt to prevail for at least another hour. I'll be getting to bed a soon as the outdoor air becomes tolerable. I doubt I'll sleep, though, as my foot is itching like crazy and is bound to keep me awake. Friday not my day. Thursday? So far I doubt it.
